Act 2 — The Americas & Asia Pacific

Eight origins. Eight stories. One unstoppable adviser.

Hazel's passport is filling up fast. From the volcanic highlands of Bali to the ancient ruins of Central America — eight origins, eight stories, one unstoppable adviser.

Chapter 04 — Bali

Bali Blue

Sitting on the rim of an ancient volcanic caldera, Lake Batur shimmering a thousand feet below, morning mist rising through the jungle — she wrapped both hands around a cup of Bali Blue and understood everything. Dark chocolate. Molasses. Brown sugar. This isn't just coffee. This is a spiritual experience.

Roast: Medium-Dark  |  Flavor Notes: Dark chocolate, molasses, brown sugar  |  Origin: Kintamani, Bali

“She understood everything.”

Chapter 05 — Southeast Asia

Kopi Safari

After Bali, Hazel followed a word. Kopi. It means coffee in Malay and Indonesian. She heard it in a market, followed it down three streets, and ended up somewhere she hadn't planned to be — which is exactly where the best cups always find her.

Roast: Medium-Dark + Medium blend  |  Flavor Notes: Lively, grounding, bright with depth  |  Style: Post-roast blend

“Follow the word. See where it takes you.”

Chapter 06 — Sumatra

Sumatra

Hazel didn't come to Sumatra for the coffee. She came for the Diamond. But somewhere in the misty highlands of Aceh, machete in one hand and a freshly brewed cup in the other, she forgot what she was looking for. Dark chocolate. Dried fruit. A syrupy, full body with a long earthy finish that lingers like the jungle mist itself.

Roast: Medium-Dark  |  Flavor Notes: Dark chocolate, dried fruit, earthy  |  Origin: Aceh, Takengon

“She forgot what she was looking for.”

Chapter 07 — Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea

Nobody follows a rumor to Papua New Guinea. Hazel did. She hiked in. The trail disappeared. The mist got thicker. And then, through the trees, a clearing — and the smell of coffee cherries drying in the highland sun. Caramel. Honey. Fruit. She sat down on a volcanic rock and didn't move for a while.

Roast: Medium  |  Flavor Notes: Caramel, honey, fruit  |  Origin: Chimbu Province highlands

“From the edge of the map.”

Chapter 08 — Costa Rica

Costa Rica

Hazel had one rule in Costa Rica. Pura Vida. Pure life. No rushing, no overthinking, no shoes if she could help it. She found a rainforest canopy platform, a waterfall, a sloth who had absolutely no opinions about anything, and a cup of Costa Rica single origin. Sweet apple. Raisin. Honey.

Roast: Medium-Light  |  Flavor Notes: Sweet apple, raisin, honey  |  Origin: Alajuela, Costa Rica

“Pura Vida.”

Chapter 09 — Honduras

Honduras

Hazel had been following the coffee trail through Central America when someone mentioned Copán. Ancient Mayan stelae. A hieroglyphic stairway. She took the detour. She always takes the detour. Standing among the carved stone monuments, coffee in hand — caramel, spice, brown sugar. Rich and warming and completely unapologetic.

Roast: Medium-Dark  |  Flavor Notes: Caramel, spice, brown sugar  |  Origin: La Paz highlands

“She always takes the detour.”

Chapter 10 — Nicaragua

Nicaragua

Nicaragua doesn't always get the spotlight. Hazel fixed that. She'd been moving fast through Central America when Granada stopped her cold. Cobblestone streets. Cathedral towers. Volcanoes rising out of the mist. She sat down. Ordered a cup from the Molino Norte highlands. Cocoa. Floral. Citrus. She stayed longer than planned.

Roast: Medium  |  Flavor Notes: Cocoa, floral, citrus  |  Origin: Matagalpa highlands

“Nicaragua rewards the curious.”

Chapter 11 — Guatemala

Guatemala

Hazel didn't come to Guatemala for the coffee. She came because the map said the next dig was here. Fedora tilted just right. A hand-drawn map in her satchel — coordinates, elevation marks, a circled location somewhere in the Sumatran highlands she hadn't reached yet. Standing at the base of a Mayan temple in Antigua, the volcano smoking behind her like it had something to prove — she poured a cup of Guatemala single origin and took one sip. Dark chocolate. Bright fruit. Butterscotch. She forgot about the map for a while.

Roast: Medium  |  Flavor Notes: Dark chocolate, bright fruit, butterscotch  |  Origin: Antigua, Guatemala

“The treasure can wait.”
